Sound Credit Union Chooses Temenos SaaS to Modernize Collections
3 min read

Sound Credit Union has selected Temenos Collections, delivered through Temenos SaaS, to modernize its collections operations. The Washington-based institution serves more than 183,000 members across 26 full-service branches.

Following a review of its operations and supporting technology, Sound chose the cloud-based platform to improve staff productivity, data accuracy and member service, according to Temenos’ official announcement.

Real-Time Data and More Connected Workflows

The platform provides real-time integration with Sound’s core banking system, helping collections teams access information across multiple accounts. Its capabilities include:

  • Automated data capture to support more accurate account records.

  • Improved note tracking to keep interactions and account histories accessible.

  • Simplified payment processes and better document management.

  • Flexible workflows and customization, alongside easier adoption of software updates.

These features are intended to reduce operational friction while supporting a more member-focused collections experience. The announcement does not disclose an implementation timetable or quantified efficiency gains.

Modernization Beyond the Banking App

Stephanie Mabry, Sound’s VP of Loss Management & Loan Servicing, said the platform would give teams the tools to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality service.

The project puts the spotlight on a less visible part of banking modernization: what happens after a loan needs closer attention. A polished app matters, but collections teams still need reliable records and connected systems behind it.

That distinction also matters in a fintech business sale. For companies considering their next ownership chapter through N5Deal’s fintech business sale platform, documented workflows, core-system connectivity and software dependencies are practical subjects for buyer due diligence—not simply back-office details.

For Temenos, the agreement supports its stated focus on the US banking and credit union market.
