At the annual Sibos 2026 conference, financial software provider Finastra announced the launch of Finastra Supply Chain Finance (SCF), an end-to-end working capital platform engineered to help corporate banks scale buyer and supplier financing programs with reduced time-to-market.
Directly connected to Finastra’s established Trade Innovation and Loan IQ platforms via the Nexus API suite, the solution unites commercial lending, digital trade services, and supply chain liquidity management into a single, unified risk and operational framework.
Unifying Trade, Lending, and Liquidity Networks
Traditionally, corporate banking institutions have operated supply chain finance programs within fragmented technology stacks, separating syndicated corporate lending from short-term open-account trade processing. This architecture often leads to disjointed exposure tracking, manual counterparty onboarding, and elevated operational overhead.
Finastra SCF resolves these constraints by providing straight-through processing (STP) capabilities across the full lifecycle of supply chain programs:
Integrated Enterprise Systems: Pre-built connectivity via the Nexus API layer links bank workflows directly with corporate ERP platforms and global trade ecosystem networks.
Unified Limits & Exposure Oversight: Treasury and risk managers can track exposures, credit limits, and asset data across letters of credit (LCs), bank guarantees, corporate loans, and SCF programs from a single dashboard.
Automated Secondary Market Distribution: Integrated asset syndication features enable banks to package and distribute funded assets to institutional investors with automated pricing, eligibility verification, and balance-sheet reconciliation.
Embedded AI Risk Controls: Built-in artificial intelligence models deliver continuous operational screening, fraud detection, and invoice compliance monitoring directly within active transaction streams.
Scalable Multitenant Performance: Capable of processing millions of multi-currency corporate invoices and managing thousands of supplier-buyer relationships simultaneously under both SaaS and on-premise deployment models.
Expanding the Working Capital Technology Roadmap
The rollout marks a major expansion in Finastra's multi-year modernization strategy for its trade and lending platforms. Beyond standard approved payable finance (reverse factoring), subsequent releases of Finastra SCF are scheduled to introduce purchase order (PO) financing, pre- and post-shipment credit facilities, warehouse inventory finance, and structured distributor financing.
"Corporate banks are urgently looking for modern architectures to bring new working capital solutions to market faster, capture new fee streams through straight-through processing, and reduce overhead while mitigating operational risk and regulatory burden," said Vinay Mendonca, Head of Product, Trade Supply Chain Finance and Corporate Channels at Finastra. "By converging our supply chain capabilities with Trade Innovation and Loan IQ, we enable financial institutions to manage liquidity with deep operational clarity, powered by API-first, cloud-native technology."
Finastra's connected ecosystem is currently utilized by thousands of global financial institutions, positioning the newly introduced SCF architecture as a core utility for banks seeking to capture rising global trade flows.
