Bir, Azerbaijan’s integrated banking, payments, and e-commerce ecosystem, has announced “Birdən biznesə” (Together in Business), a support programme designed to help aspiring and existing micro-entrepreneurs access digital tools, training, and practical business services.
The programme will begin supporting participants in October 2026. It brings together technology from across the Bir ecosystem, including Birbank, Birmarket, m10 digital wallet, Milliön payment terminals, and Birbank Biznes.
The initiative is aimed at helping smaller businesses strengthen their operational skills and adopt digital payments, online sales, and e-commerce tools. It also supports Azerbaijan’s wider transition from cash-based commerce toward more accessible digital services.
Training, E-Commerce Access, and Practical Business Support
Participants in the Birdən biznesə programme will receive support across several areas of daily business management. The programme is expected to focus particularly on young entrepreneurs, women, people with disabilities, retirees, and families of fallen service members who may face greater barriers to business networks or resources.
Key elements include:
Digital commerce onboarding: Support for joining and selling through the Birmarket e-commerce platform.
Business skills training: Courses covering management, financial and legal literacy, taxation, accounting, marketing, and social media.
Online seller guidance: Practical support for entrepreneurs seeking to build and manage digital sales channels.
Payments infrastructure: Access to digital banking, POS payment tools, wallet services, and cash-in terminal infrastructure.
Preferential Terms for Early-Stage Businesses
Alongside training, Bir plans to offer participants preferential conditions on selected operational and financial services.
The announced package includes free POS tools, lower payment-processing commission fees, commission-free access to Bir Bonus loyalty programme tools, and preferential conditions on selected instalment products.
Through the Birbank Biznes mobile banking app, qualifying users will also be able to make withdrawals and transfers of up to AZN 10,000 commission-free for one year.
Farid Huseynov, CEO of Bir, said the programme is intended to turn access to digital infrastructure into practical opportunities for people building or expanding smaller businesses.
“We can help upskill micro-entrepreneurs and connect them to digital banking, payments and marketplace tools they need to successfully reach clients and grow their operations,” Huseynov said.
Building a More Inclusive Digital Economy
Bir’s new programme reflects growing demand for accessible digital services among small merchants and self-employed individuals. For micro-businesses, access to online marketplaces, low-friction payment tools, and basic financial knowledge can make it easier to reach customers, manage sales, and operate across digital channels.
With an ecosystem that reaches more than 5 million people, Bir is positioning Birdən biznesə as part of its broader corporate and social responsibility strategy. The initiative combines skills development with direct access to everyday fintech and e-commerce services, creating a more practical entry point into Azerbaijan’s digital economy.
