Banking Circle Powers OSL Group’s Multi-Currency Stablecoin Infrastructure Across Five New Currencies
3 min read

Banking Circle S.A., a licensed European bank specializing in global payment rails, has expanded its strategic collaboration with OSL Group (HKEX: 863), a digital asset trading and stablecoin infrastructure provider. The expansion connects OSL’s institutional clients to fiat settlement networks across five additional global currencies alongside the Euro.

Through this enhanced integration, Banking Circle now supports OSL’s enterprise operations across six major currencies: EUR, USD, GBP, AUD, HKD, and SGD. The arrangement allows institutional market participants to execute fiat clearing, stablecoin conversion, and treasury liquidity operations through a single compliant gateway.

24/7 Global Clearing via the BC-Now Payment Rail

Cross-border liquidity between traditional banking systems and digital asset ecosystems has historically required managing fragmented, nested correspondent banking relationships across disparate time zones. To solve this friction, OSL will integrate BC-Now, Banking Circle’s proprietary 24/7 clearing network.

Key operational capabilities include:

  • Continuous Settlement: Execution of fiat conversions and settlement cycles 365 days a year, eliminating weekend and holiday clearing backlogs.

  • Direct Multi-Currency Rails: Elimination of intermediary correspondent fees and settlement friction across European and Asia-Pacific fiat corridors.

  • Integrated Treasury Operations: Streamlined on- and off-ramp liquidity flows directly embedded into OSL's institutional execution platforms.

  • Consolidated Account Architecture: Institutional clients manage multi-currency settlements without requiring separate local banking counterparties in each target jurisdiction.

Meeting Institutional Demand Under MiCAR and Global Standards

The integration comes amid accelerating institutional participation driven by comprehensive regulatory frameworks, notably the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) and digital asset legislative initiatives in the United States, including the GENIUS Act.

OSL’s European entity, OSL EU, recently secured authorization as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) from the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) under MiCAR. As institutional use cases shift from speculative secondary trading toward corporate payments, business-to-business settlements, and collateral management, access to regulated tier-one fiat infrastructure becomes a core requirement.

"The next phase of digital asset adoption will be driven by real-world payment use cases," said Eugene Cheung, Chief Commercial Officer at OSL Group. "As businesses move between fiat and stablecoins, they require regulated, scalable, and internationally connected banking infrastructure. Expanding our relationship with Banking Circle strengthens OSL's ability to support institutional clients across multiple currencies and key global markets through a single platform."

Kirit Bhatia, Chief Digital Assets Officer at Banking Circle, noted: "OSL is an established name in regulated digital assets, and this expansion reflects the clear transition of digital assets from investment assets into transactional payment mechanisms. We provide the compliant infrastructure needed to transfer capital seamlessly across currencies, networks, and clearing rails."

By coupling Banking Circle’s regulated banking license and clearing connections with OSL’s institutional trading and stablecoin solutions, the partnership provides cross-border enterprises with a compliant bridge between traditional fiat banking and digital asset liquidity.
