Finastra has partnered with digital trade platform provider Komgo to connect trade finance networks and eliminate friction caused by fragmented systems and manual documentation.
The collaboration integrates Komgo’s Konsole platform with Finastra’s Trade Innovation solution using Trade Innovation Nexus, Finastra’s open API integration layer. The combined setup enables banks and corporate clients to manage end-to-end trade finance operations through interoperable digital workflows without requiring major overhauls of existing core infrastructure.
Key benefits of the integration include:
Straight-Through Processing (STP): Automates manual touchpoints, speeding up transaction lifecycles, onboarding, and settlement routines.
Ecosystem Connectivity: Connects Finastra’s global banking client base with Komgo’s multi-bank digital trade and corporate network.
Embedded Compliance & Risk Management: Incorporates automated regulatory checks, audit-ready reporting, and enhanced visibility into transactional risk.
Operational Efficiency: Reduces processing overhead and operational errors associated with paper-heavy, legacy trade finance practices.
Vinay Mendonca, Head of Trade & Supply Chain Finance at Finastra, noted that open API connectivity enables institutions to cut complexity and modernize digital channels, while Komgo’s Baptiste Audren highlighted that the collaboration widens market access to standard, multi-bank trade infrastructure.
