Bir, the integrated banking, payments, and e-commerce ecosystem in the Caucasus, has entered into a strategic partnership with Azerbaijan’s Public Catering and Gastronomy Association (İİQA) and restaurant software startup Clopos to accelerate digital transformation across the country's hospitality sector.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding, the three entities will roll out an integrated solution combining table ordering, payment processing, and digital tipping into a single customer flow. Powered by Clopos' tech and Bir’s payment rails, guests can scan a table QR code to browse menus, place orders, complete payments via Bir Pay or alternative methods, and tip service staff instantly.

The rollout eliminates friction for both diners and restaurant operators, streamlining floor operations and speeding up table turnover. Jalal Orujov, CEO of Payments at Bir, highlighted that connecting ordering, payments, and tips into one digital touchpoint aligns with Bir's broader strategy of embedding connected financial services into everyday commerce.

Serving over 5 million users, Bir was recently named among the world's top fintech firms by CNBC and Statista—the first company from the South Caucasus to receive the distinction. This hospitality initiative follows recent expansions across the ecosystem, including cross-border remittance integrations with Paysend and an AI-driven assistant within the m10 digital wallet.
