Mambu, the leading cloud banking platform, has officially become a certified Enabler of Swift’s Business Connect and Value-Added Services. This certification marks a major shift for financial institutions, allowing them to connect to Swift’s global financial messaging network through a fully managed, cloud-native model. By leveraging Mambu’s infrastructure, banks can now bypass the need for dedicated on-premise hardware or legacy systems.
Along with the certification, Mambu announced the successful go-live of several major clients, including BankB, Outpayce, and BCB Group. These institutions are now using the Mambu Payments Hub to scale global payments for millions of customers. Through Swift Alliance Cloud connectivity, Mambu handles the heavy lifting of security, infrastructure, and compliance, enabling banks to manage cross-border flows alongside domestic schemes within a single unified platform.
Édouard Mandon, VP Payments at Mambu, highlighted that the certification removes the operational burden from customers, allowing them to focus on growth rather than infrastructure management. Patrick Herwegh, CIO at BankB, added that the implementation was fast and reliable, allowing the bank to centralize all payments through one gateway via their sponsor bank, ING.
This development strengthens Mambu’s position as a provider of unified payments infrastructure, bridging the gap between domestic schemes, sponsor bank connectivity, and global market infrastructures. It allows institutions to streamline their operations, increase efficiency, and offer a more seamless payment experience to their end-users.
